Toddler Dies After Falling Into Pool In Warren
WARREN (WWJ) - A toddler has died after police say he was pulled from a swimming pool in Warren.
Police say a 911 call about an unresponsive child came in shortly after 2 p.m. Monday, from a home on La Chene Ave., in the area of Schoenherr and 13 Mile Rd.
"Officers and paramedics arrived where they found a mother doing CPR on a 22-month-old that somehow got out of the rear of the house and fell into the pool," Deputy Police Commissioner Matt Nichols said.
The boy, named Kevin, was rushed by EMS to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, Nichols said.
Although police say it appears to have been a tragic accident, investigators remained on the scene after 5 p.m.
