Child OK After Being Hit By Car In Clinton Township

CLINTON TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - A child who was hit by a car was luckily not seriously hurt, Tuesday afternoon in Clinton Township.

At 3:30 p.m, police were still working to clear the scene of the accident at 15 Mile Road and Little Mack.

Police confirmed to WWJ Newsradio 950 that a child was struck by a vehicle, but said any injuries were "nothing serious" and that he or she was expected to be OK. The child was being checked out by nurses at the scene.

It was not immediately clear what led to the collision or if the driver was at fault. An investigation is underway.
