#ChadTough's Chad Carr In Hospice Care

ANN ARBOR (CBS Detroit) In a heartbreaking Facebook post, the family of Chad Carr, the small boy for whom #ChadTough is named, announced he was admitted to hospice care.

Hospice is devoted to keeping people comfortable in the last stage of life, with no further treatment.

Carr, 5, the grandson of former Michigan football coach Lloyd Carr has been battling an inoperable brain tumor. People across the area, and the country, have rallied around him on social media, raising money in his name to fight cancer and offering emotional support to his family.

Prior to the hospice announcement, his mother Tammi Carr posted a moving photo of her boy watching the sun rise.

The family started a go fund me account 13 months ago to support their tough child Chad and has raised more than $38,000.
