Cat, 2 Dogs Rescued From St. Clair Shores House Fire
ST. CLAIR SHORES (WWJ) - A trio of family pets is safe after a rescue by St. Clair Shore firefighters Monday morning.
Officials with the St. Clair Shores Fire Department say the blaze broke out in the basement of a home on Red Maple Lane, near 9 Mile Road and Greater Mack , on the south side of the city.
Family members were able to get out of the house, but firefighters went in and rescued the pets. Earlier reports said multiple dogs were removed from the home, but the fire chief says it was two dogs and a cat.
Firefighters were able to put the fire out.
