Cass Tech High School On Lockdown Due To Shooting In Area

DETROIT (WWJ) - Cass Technical High School in Detroit was lockdown at noon on Tuesday due to a reported police situation nearby.

Detroit Public Schools spokeswoman Michelle Zdrodowski said there was a shooting in the area, and Cass Tech — in the 2500 block of 2nd Ave., near Grand River Ave. — was put on lockdown as a precaution.

There were no details immediately available about the shooting. WWJ Newsradio 950 has a call in to Detroit police for more information.

No injuries have been reported.
