1. Austin Jackson - In 2012, Jackson had an .856 OPS and a 5.5 WAR. Those numbers dropped to .754 and 3.4 last season. His WAR was 5.0 or higher his first three seasons. Jackson is at a point where he should develop more power, and it's necessary for the Tigers if they are hitting him lower in the batting order.

2. Alex Avila - In the first half of last season, Avila was a disaster at the plate. He closed relatively strongly. The Tigers need that trend to continue, especially considering they are void of left-handed hitters after trading Prince Fielder to Texas.

3. Joba Chamberlain - Chamberlain still has big-time arm strength. His signing was low-risk, high-reward for the Tigers. Don't be surprised if pays off.
