Can The Tigers Change History?
The Tigers are trying to accomplish something no other Major League team has ever been able to obtain: A trip to the postseason with two rookies on the left side of the infield.

This would be an interesting feat, as he explains in his article on Foxsports.com.
The Tigers brought up rookie shortstop Eugenio Suarez to replace the disaster that was Alex Gonzalez, Andrew Romine and Danny Worth -- who all tried to replace Jose Iglesias, who the Tigers lost for the entire 2014 season.
Nick Castellanos appears to be working out, as Dave Dombrowski intended, as he is hitting .265 with 5 home runs and 21 RBI.
Morosi points out some good facts as in only five teams since the Wild Card era have had a rookie at third and short combine for 210 starts:
According to STATS LLC, only five teams in the wild-card era (1995 to present) had rookies account for at least 210 combined starts at shortstop and third base: the 1999 Marlins, 2003 Mets, 2005 Rockies, 2010 Astros and 2013 Marlins.
Obviously, it's way too early to tell if Suarez can keep up the pace he is on from just a tiny sample size in the Majors as well as the minors.
