Cabrera, Martinez And Cespedes Homer For Tigers In Win

LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) — Miguel Cabrera, Victor Martinez and Yoenis Cespedes each homered for the Detroit Tigers in 6-4 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday.

Cabrera connected off Tommy Hunter in the sixth and Martinez homered off Kevin Gausman in the eighth, the first home runs for the stars who have spent much of the spring rehabilitating from offseason surgery. Both played their first spring games last weekend.

Martinez and Cabrera combined for 57 homers last season and Cespedes, who went deep in the seventh against Hunter, had 22 for Oakland and Boston.

Cabrera also singled in a run and had three RBIs.

David Price started for the Tigers and allowed three runs, striking out seven, in 6 2-3 innings, his longest outing of the spring.

Chris Tillman started for the Orioles and went 5 1-3 innings, allowing two runs. Jayson Nix homered for the Orioles.
