DETROIT (AP) — Tigers star Miguel Cabrera left Friday night's game against the Chicago White Sox with tightness in his lower back.

Cabrera gingerly advanced from second to third on a single in the seventh inning, and after two pitches, he signaled to the bench that he needed a pinch runner. He was replaced by Andrew Romine, who stayed in the game at first base with the Tigers leading 6-2.

The Tigers announced after the seventh inning that Cabrera would be listed as day-to-day.
