Cabrera (Hamstring) Stays In Tigers' Lineup

CHICAGO (AP) — Detroit star Miguel Cabrera is serving as the designated hitter for the Tigers' game at the Chicago White Sox a day after he left a loss to Boston with left hamstring tightness.

Manager Brad Ausmus says the first baseman is feeling a lot better. He says Cabrera is going to get his hamstring worked on before Monday night's game, but should be ready to go.

Cabrera looked gimpy after he singled in the sixth inning of Sunday night's 5-3 loss to the Red Sox. He was lifted for a pinch-runner.

Cabrera, who has won the AL MVP award in each of the last two seasons, is hitting .326 with 11 homers and 51 RBIs. He has played in every game for AL Central-leading Detroit.
