Butt, Wormley Named Michigan Football Captains

ANN ARBOR (CBS Detroit) -- Jim Harbaugh's players have chosen their 2016 captains.

Senior tight end Jake Butt and redshirt senior defensive end Chris Wormley will serve as Michigan's captains this fall, beginning on September 3 when the Wolverines host Hawaii at Michigan Stadium.

Butt tallied 51 receptions, three touchdowns and 654 yards in 2015 as a junior. He was named to the 2015 All-American First Team by Sports Illustrated and CBS Sports.

Wormley totaled a career-high seven tackles against Ohio State in 2015. He also added 6.5 sacks last season.
