Missing Detroit Brothers Found Safe

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police say a pair of young brothers who went missing following a family argument have been found safe.

According to police, 9-year-old Patrick Jumper and 13-year-old William Jumper were reported missing around 10 a.m. Monday near their home in the 1900 block of Richton — southwest of the Lodge freeway.

The boys' mother, Nicole Jumper, said her husband found the boys several hours after they went missing, safe and sound. The boys are now back at home.

Police believe the brothers left home after they were "involved in a verbal altercation" with their sister.

A neighbor, who asked to be identified as Omar, said he did see them earlier on the day they disappeared. "I'm used to seeing them around my house," Omar told WWJ's Jon Hewett.

"I'm just used to seeing them. They'll walk back and forth playing — but I didn't think about it this morning they should have been at school. They had their book bags and stuff like they were supposed to have been going; but I guess they never did go," he said.
