Brewers Say Hank The Dog Is Adjusting Well

MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Milwaukee Brewers say Hank the dog is adjusting well to being part of the team.

When the stray Lhasa Apso mix walked onto spring training grounds in Arizona about three weeks ago, he was more reserved, banged up and very dirty. But after a couple vet visits, some baths and some runs around the practice field, he's jumping all over people.

Spokesman Tyler Barnes says he didn't hear him bark the first two weeks and now Hank barks all the time.

He's also raising money for the Arizona Humane Society, visiting with fans and spending the night with players like relief pitcher Tom Gorzelanny.

While the Brewers won't comment on his future — in case an owner resurfaces — they've said his days as a stray are over.
