ALLEN PARK - Detroit Lions wide receiver Golden Tate already has one Super Bowl ring, and if he ends up with another one after the 2015 season, he might receive another pricey prize to boot.

NASCAR driver Brad Keselowski visited Lions practice Thursday, and the Quicken Loans 400 pace car, a Ford Mustang, accompanied him to the area between the field and the facility.

A Lions fan, Keselowski gave Tate - who admired the flashy red muscle car - a little extra incentive to end the season with a championship.

"You win the Super Bowl," Keselowski said, "and I'll call [Lions owner Bill Ford Jr.] and tell him to give you one."

Keselowski laughed when asked later about that comment, and he suggested he would like to get his own hands on a new Ford - hopefully as a courtesy of the car company.

"I'm working on a deal right now," Keselowski said. "I don't know if you've seen the new GT, but I've been trying to convince Ford, very simply - because the last race of the year is Ford Championship Weekend, Homestead Miami is Ford Championship Weekend - and I told them, they need to just take a GT, make it the pace car for all the races, and if a Ford driver wins the Sprint Cup Championship, just hand him the keys in victory lane.

"So that's what I'm going for," Keselowski continued. "I think I'm like 75 percent of the way there."

Keselowski, who said Thursday was his first time at a Lions practice, said he watches Detroit's games as much as he can, though sometimes races conflict with the games. Wide receiver Calvin Johnson is his favorite player.

"The guy's amazing," Keselowski said. "He's a 99 player on Madden."
