Bond Set For Man Charged In Assault Of Police Dog

DETROIT (WWJ/AP) - A Detroit man is being held on a $75,000 bond after allegedly assaulting a police dog.

Authorities say they tried to pull the suspect over in St. Clair Shores for defective equipment on his vehicle on Wednesday.

The suspect took off ... and ended up hiding in some bushes in Roseville.

The suspect then punched and choked the dog. Officials say the canine cop is unharmed.
