Bomb Threat On MSU Campus Was A Hoax, Police Say

EAST LANSING (WWJ) - The "all clear" has been issued on the campus of Michigan State University following a bomb threat Tuesday afternoon that police say turned out to be a hoax.

MSU's Department of Public Safety issued a statement saying investigators traced "multiple sources" to determine the threat was not credible.

Campus police had issued a campus-wide alert shortly before 3 p.m. indicating they had received a threat of a "device" placed on campus.

According to a notice posted on the university's Facebook page, an investigation is continuing in an effort to identify suspect or suspects responsible.
