No Threat Found After Bomb Squad Investigates Suspicious Package At DTE Headquarters

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Investigators were on the scene in downtown Detroit on Saturday where the Detroit Bomb Squad investigated a suspicious package found at the DTE Energy Headquarters building.

Detroit police told WWJ Newsradio 950 that officers responded to the building on Energy Plaza near I-75 and Grand River at around 5:15 p.m. after a caller said someone dropped off a duffel bag before leaving quickly.

The bag was left inside a salt bin outside of the front of the building.

Police later told WWJ that there was "nothing of concern" inside the bag.

It is unclear if the building was evacuated during the investigation, but security was advised to keep people away from all doors.
