Body Of Bay City Woman Found Near Her Burned Car

HAMPTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities in Bay County say they found the body of a Bay City woman outside her burned car.

Hampton Township police tell WNEM-TV that they got a call and made the discovery Monday morning along a road near Saginaw Bay.

Police say they were waiting until after notifying the woman's family before releasing her name.

The secluded wetlands area often is used by hunters.

There's no immediate word on how the woman died, and police say they have no suspects in her death.
