Body Found In Southwest Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are investigating after a body was found on the city's southwest side.

The human remains were discovered Wednesday, by an abandoned vehicle officer, at Ethyl and Downing next to a silver Chevy S-10.

The call came into police just before 1 p.m.

Police talking to WWJ Newsradio 950's Rob Mason, later Wednesday afternoon, said investigators at the scene were working to discover the circumstances surrounding the death.

The age and gender of the deceased were not immediately known.
