Bloomfield Hills Woman Killed, Man Critically Hurt In Multi-Vehicle I-75 Crash

MT. MORRIS (WWJ) - A 54-year old Bloomfield Hills woman is dead after a five-vehicle crash along I-75 in Genesee County.

The Sunday night accident that closed the highway for several hours through Mt. Morris Township also left the woman's 55-year old husband in critical condition.

Mt. Morris Township Police Chief Terrence Green says a 25-year old Montrose area man was taken into custody after the wreck.

"Our preliminary investigation indicates alcohol was possibly a factor. Also, the at fault driver did not have a valid driver's license," Green said. "Currently we're speaking with the prosecutor's office pursuing charges against the 25-year-old at fault driver."

The man is currently lodged in the Genesee County Jail.

The names of the victims and the man in custody were not immediately released.
