Blackhawks G Crawford Sidelined By Injury Suffered At Concert [VIDEO]

CHICAGO (AP) — Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against St. Louis because of a lower-body injury.

Coach Joel Quenneville says Crawford sustained the injury off the ice. Crawford was being evaluated on Tuesday and did not practice with the team.

Antti Raanta will replace Crawford against the Blues, and the Blackhawks recalled Scott Darling from the minors to serve as the backup goaltender. Crawford had made 14 consecutive starts.

Defenseman Brent Seabrook also missed practice Tuesday due to an illness, but is expected to play against the Blues.

While Crawford and Seabrook were sidelined, Patrick Sharp practiced with the team and could return for Friday night's game against Montreal. The forward sustained a lower-body injury in a 5-0 victory over the Canadiens on Nov. 4.
