Bills To Regulate Tobacco, Vaping Would Raise Age To 21

(CBS DETROIT) -- A new series of bills in Lansing aim to tackle the ongoing vaping epidemic.

The bills debated yesterday, want to raise the age to buy tobacco products including e-cigarettes.

If passed the age would goes up from 18 to 21, aligning with current federal law.

The bills also allow a higher tax on vaping products up to a rate of 24 percent.
