Bicyclist Killed After Being Hit By Car In Farmington Hills

FARMINGTON HILLS (WWJ) -- An investigation is underway in Farmington Hills after a fatal crash involving a motor vehicle and a bicycle happened Friday night along Eight Mile Rd.

Police say a 48-year-old Livonia man was biking westbound near Grand River Ave. when he turned into the path of the vehicle.

The bicyclist was severely injured and taken to Botsford Hospital, where he died. At this time, alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the accident.

The identity of the bicyclist will not be released at this time.
