Bicyclist Fatally Struck By Vehicle In Northern Oakland County

GROVELAND TWP. (WWJ) - Authorities say a bicyclist has died after being struck by a vehicle in northern Oakland County.

The accident happened around 1:25 a.m. Tuesday on Ortonville Road near Grange Hall Road in Groveland Township.

According to police, a van was traveling down Ortonville Road when it struck a man riding a bicycle.

The bicyclist was declared dead at the scene. The driver was uninjured.

Police say the man was not carrying any identification and is currently unidentified, pending an autopsy.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, according to police.

An investigation is ongoing.
