Bicyclist Fatally Struck By Train In Ecorse

ECORSE (WWJ) - A bicyclist was killed by a train in Ecorse and now, police are trying to figure out what the man was doing on the tracks.

The incident happened around 10 p.m. Tuesday along West Jefferson Avenue near Outer Driver, near Ecorse High School.

Circumstances surround the incident weren't immediately known. It's also not clear how the victim wound up in the path of the train.

Details about the victim have not yet been released.

An investigation is ongoing.
