Our amazing webmaster and NBA junkie Evan Jankens and I were in attendance for what was truly a special night for the game of basketball, the city of Detroit and the entire state of Michigan  and for one of the greatest championship teams in basketball history. To be honest the Pistons Bad Boys title teams could be considered one of the greatest championship team in any of the four major sports over the past 40 years. To see them all come together , sadly sans Dennis Rodman, who was the defensive heart and soul of those teams, was really something to behold. Rodman's in Argentina to host a basketball camp, make new friends, or something like that .

The rest of the squad was there and just seeing them all together evoked such special and warm memories of a team that really brought a city, state, and region together, and will always have its place in history as a trendsetter that change the game of basketball forever. Though Coach Chuck Daly and former owner Bill Davidson have passed , their memories were remembered fondly by two standing ovations when they were shown on the video screens and mentioned by the legendary voice of the Pistons George Blaha. even former NBA Commish David Stern was in attendance.

Even though he wasn't always on the best terms with the Bad Boys, he always knew they were game changing team, and he spoke fondly of what they meant to basketball during his tenure manning the NBA and their importance in the annuals of NBA history, still effecting the game to this day.

We had a great time talking with some of the men who helped so many , myself included, fall in love with basketball.

----The Captain Isiah Thomas talked about what being a part of the Bad Boys meant to him and what they did to change the game of basketball. He also responded to the thought of coming back to being party of the Pistons organization

We asked Bill Laimbeer tell us who would win between the Bad Boys and the current two-time defending Champion Heat, and used his legendary humor to respond to his possible interest in coming back to coach his old franchise.

The always hilarious John "Spider" Salley talked about the legacy of the Bad Boys and had some amazing stories to tell. He also talked about if it was tough to not have Dennis Rodman in attendance.

Tom Gores?   The Pistons owner talked about how the Pistons franchise is going back to the championship days, cause "There is only one choice."

Where does this team rank for you in Detroit Sports title team history? (see where I rank them below)
