Authorities Release Names Of 3 People Involved In Fatal Accident

DETROIT (AP) - The Wayne County medical examiner's office has released the names of three people who died when their car collided with a tractor-trailer on Detroit's west side.

The crash took place Friday morning on the Southfield expressway's service drive. The medical examiner's office says the three victims all were from Detroit and says their relationship isn't clear. They're identified as 44-year-old Tracey Thomas, 52-year-old William Thomas and 72-year-old Dorothy Thomas.

Police say the truck was northbound on the service drive and the car was eastbound on a cross street when they collided. They say the truck's driver escaped injury.
