Authorities: Man Shoots At Police In Standoff At Oakland County Home

KEEGO HARBOR (WWJ) - A man is behind bars accused of shooting at police officers during a standoff in Oakland County over the weekend.

Sheriff's officials say local police requested help from the Oakland County SWAT team while dealing with an armed suspect in a domestic dispute.

Police said the man was holed up inside a home in the 3000 block of Portman St. in Keego Harbor, Saturday afternoon, when he fired a shot out the window at or near officers.

No one was injured.

SWAT team members were able to get into the home with the use of their armored vehicle, nicknamed "The Bear" — and that's when the suspect came out onto the front porch,

An officer used a Taser on the suspect, sheriff's officials said, and he was taken into custody without further incident.

Keego Harbor police are handling the ongoing investigation.
