Authorities: Man Dies In Crash On Snowy Upper Peninsula Road

ELY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — Authorities say a 26-year-old man has died following a crash on a snowy roadway in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

State police say Matthew Croschere of Marquette died in Sunday morning's crash in Marquette County's Ely Township after he tried to pass a semi-truck and lost control, colliding with another vehicle.

Two people in the other vehicle were injured. They were taken to a hospital for treatment. The crash took place as parts of the state including the Upper Peninsula saw heavy snow.
