Authorities: Livonia Woman Killed In House Fire; Smoking Believed To Be Cause

LIVONIA  - An overnight blaze taking the life of a Livonia grandmother.

The fire broke out in the home on Grove Street near Six Mile and Farmington Road late Sunday night killing a 78-year-old woman -- four other people inside the home, including the victim's daughter, son-in-law and two kids, were able to escape without injury.

Neighbors telling WWJ that the woman used oxygen and was also a smoker.

While the exact cause is still under investigation authorities are saying that the combination of smoking and oxygen are factors in the fire and believe the fire to be accidental.

The identities of those involved have not been released.
