Authorities: 7 Charged In Cheating Conspiracy At Casino

DETROIT (WWJ/AP) - Authorities say a man who worked as a dealer at a Detroit casino is accused in a cheating conspiracy that involved six other people.

Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette on Monday announced charges in the case, which involved hundreds of dollars of individual payouts to players on lost bets during games of Texas hold'em at MotorCity Casino.

Charged are 53-year old Darryl Green of Detroit, worked at Motor City Casino and allegedly failed to collect players' money on losing Texas Hold 'em bets--or in some cases, paid them even when they lost. Three of the other suspects, 32-year old Eugene Davis Jr, 65-year old Earl Railey, and 47-year old Calvin Pullom, are from Detroit. Also charged are 49-year old Roxanna McKinney of Farmington Hills, 42-year old Leah Smith of Melvindale and 57-year old Hayword Stampley of West Bloomfield.

Several are repeat offenders according to authorities.

Schuette says state police investigated following a request from the casino.
