SOUTHFIELD (CBS Detroit) - J.D. Power ranked AT&T highest in customer service for full-service wireless providers in the 2015 Wireless Customer Care Full Service Study, the company announced Thursday.

AT&T outscored other full-service wireless providers in the study which included approximately 6,500 U.S. wireless customers from July to December 2014.

"Our research has shown and our customers tell us that their number one desire is to feel appreciated by their provider, and we at AT&T Mobility are dedicated to deliver that each and every day to our customers," said Glenn Lurie, president and CEO, AT&T Mobility, said in a release. "Delivering an excellent customer care experience is one of the foundations of our overall relationship with customers."

AT&T has received this award in the second half of 2013 and first half of 2014. The award is given out twice a year.

The award comes as AT&T has been upgrading service in areas of southeast Michigan from Romulus to areas in the thumb.

These are the latest enhancements to AT&T's 4G LTE network, which launched in Detroit in September 2012.
