Assault On Campus Puts Oakland University Students On Alert

ROCHESTER (WWJ) - Oakland University police are looking for a man who punched a female student near the Kresge Library.

The student said she was walking on the sidewalk Thursday night when a man came up from behind her and punched her in the head.

The only description of the suspect is that he was wearing a dark hoodie.

Police were checking surveillance video from the area as part of the investigation.

Police are reminding students to remain alert to their surroundings as they travel around campus and, when possible walk in groups, especially after dark.
