Armed Robbers Found After Leaving Wallet At Crime Scene

MONROE (WWJ) -- Police arrested two suspects after one of them left his wallet behind during an armed robbery at a Monroe-area gas station on Sunday.

Police said that 19-year-old Cody Wilson of Woodhaven left his wallet on the counter after initially asking to buy cigarettes and that 20-year-old Derek Beach of Redford Township entered the gas station and pulled a gun on the clerk.

The suspects left the station at S. Telegraph Rd. and Dunbar with some stolen money but not the wallet.

Wilson and Beach were arraigned on armed robbery charges in Monroe District Court. Both are jailed on $250,000 bond.
