April Snow In Metro Detroit? Say It Isn't So

DETROIT (WWJ) - Just when we thought the winter doldrums were gone for good, Mother Nature is throwing metro Detroit a curve ball.

AccuWeather Meteorologist Dean Devore said low temperatures will be around the freezing mark Tuesday night -- and you know what that means.

"I can not rule out that there could be some snowflakes in the air," said Devore.

Whether the snow sticks to the ground is another matter. High temperatures this week will stay in the 40s ahead of a weekend warm up.

Here's the local forecast from the CBS Detroit weather team:

Tuesday: Windy with increasing clouds and a slight chance of rain. High 56F. Low 37F.

Wednesday: Sun in the morning followed by cloudy skies during the afternoon. High 47F. Low 33F.

Thursday: A mix of clouds and sun early, then becoming cloudy later in the day. High 49F. Low 32F.

Friday: Mainly sunny. High 54F. Low 34F.

Saturday: Partly cloudy skies in the morning will give way to cloudy skies during the afternoon. High 53F. Low 36F.
