72% of CBS Detroit Readers Believe Andre Drummond is a Franchise Player

By Trevor Peele

In a recent poll conducted by CBS Detroit, 72 percent of readers believe Detroit Pistons big man Andre Drummond is a franchise player, disagreeing with the opinion of Detroit Free Press columnist, Drew Sharp.

Earlier this week, Sharp sparked discussion in a column when he said the Pistons should focus their future on Stanley Johnson and not Andre Drummond.

With free agency approaching and the salary cap exploding from $70 million to $92 million, we can expect Drummond to get paid.

Since he is a restricted free agent, that means other teams must outbid the Pistons with a bigger contract. The Pistons can match an offer and it's very unlikely they will decide to let the big man go. Drummond is by far the best restricted free agent on the market and there isn't any doubt that the Pistons will sign him to a max deal.
