Amy's Kitchen Recalls Frozen Meals Due To Possible Health Risk

DETROIT (WWJ) - It's time to check your freezer.

Amy's Kitchen is voluntarily recalling approximately 73,897 cases of several varieties of their frozen meals.

The recall was issued after Amy's was notified that one of their organic spinach suppliers was recalling their product due to the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in people with weakened immune systems.

The recalled products were distributed to stores nationwide in the United States and in Canada.

Consumers who have any of the products are urged to dispose them or return them to the store where they were purchased for an exchange or full refund. For more information, call 707-781-7535.
