Suspect Remains At Large After 3 Michigan Kids Found Safe

(WWJ) - An Amber Alert for three young children has been cancelled, but the suspect in their disappearance remains at large.

According to Michigan State Police, the kids — 3-year-old Lamir Jamerson, 2-year-old Jaraun Render, Jr., and a 1-year-old Jariah Render  — were found safe at a home in Grand Rapids on Wednesday.

Reports say it was their grandmother's house.

Police said the children were believed to be in "grave danger" after they were taken by their father, 22-year-old JaRaun Render, after he shot two people, including the children's mother, in the parking lot of a convenience store in Muskegon Tuesday evening.

The woman was last reported in critical condition.

The suspect faces charges of assault with intent to murder, carrying a concealed weapon and felony firearm. Police say he may be traveling in a 1997 maroon Chevy Suburban SUV with a Michigan license plate.

Anyone with information should call the Muskegon Police Department at 231-724-6750 or Silent Observer at 231-722-7463.
