Logo Added To Ally Detroit Center

The 43-story skyscraper is sporting some new art Monday as residents spotted the Ally Financial logo near the top of the postmodern architecture of previously named One Detroit Center.

Dan Gilbert, owner of Quicken Loans, purchased the building in March of 2015. The building was then renamed to Ally Detroit Center.

The main tenant of the building Ally said in a company release how they will have more than 1,500 employees there with third-party contractors on 13 floors.

Early reaction to the change to Detroit's skyline has been mixed.

The company's Twitter account announced the addition of the sign to Ally Detroit Center Saturday.

Ally Financial has been making headlines for it's Lucky Pennies promotion where they placed 100 fake pennies worth $1000 each in cities across the US including Detroit.
