All-Big Ten Tight End Devin Funchess Taking All His Reps At Wide Receiver

CBS DETROIT - Voted All-Big Ten at tight end in 2013, Michigan's Devin Funchess says he is now being used exclusively as a wide receiver.

"Right now it's 100 percent outside," Funchess said Sunday, according to MLive. "I don't know what they're going to do during the season, how that's going to work out, but right now, I'm just 100 percent outside."

Funchess is listed as a wide receiver on the Michigan football website. As a tight end in 2013, the Michigan native snagged 49 catches for 748 yards last season. Funchess's move to wide receiver will presumably help the Wolverines compensate for the loss of Jeremy Gallon - now with the New England Patriots - who caught 89 passes for 1,373 yards in 2013.
