Alcohol, Speed Suspected Factors In US 23 Rollover Crash

WHITE LAKE (WWJ) - A Fenton man who was allegedly drunk and speeding down US 23 remains hospitalized after crashing his car Sunday afternoon.

Livingston County Sheriff's officials say 32-year-old Michael Main is at Genesis Hospital with life-threatening injuries after he lost control of his car while weaving in and out of traffic, cutting off other drivers on northbound US 23.

According to investigators, Main slammed his Ford Taurus into another Ford Taurus before flipping over into a ditch, just north of White Lake, at around 1 p.m.

The 50-year-old female driver of the car he struck was not injured.

Both speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the cash as an investigation by the Livingston County Sheriff Department Traffic Safety are ongoing.

Charges against Main are pending.
