Ohio Turnpike Accident Observer: 'I Stopped Counting At 10'
OHIO (WWJ) - A semi driver could face charges stemming from a fatal crash on the Ohio Turnpike. Sunday afternoon's wreck, involving ten vehicles, killed a young girl and injured seven other people.
The massive accident along the turnpike had traffic at a standstill for several hours.
A caller to WWJ Newsradio 950 said she 'stopping counting at 10' cars as she passed.
The accident occurred south of Sandusky in a construction zone, where eastbound traffic was reduced to one lane. Police say the truck driver failed to stop in time and slammed into nine other vehicles.

WKYC reporter Chris Tye says that the accident is near the Cedar Point exit is movement is stopped in both directions. He warns drivers to avoid the area.

The victims were taken to hospitals in Toledo and Sandusky.
