Accident Kills Woman In Medical Transport Van
DETROIT (WWJ) - A woman in a medical transport van has died after an accident on McNichols near the Southfield Freeway.
Detroit police say a man driving to meet police to discuss a break-in at his liquor store made an improper U-turn on McNichols and crashed into the van.

The van caught fire. The 61-year old woman inside the van, who was on her way to kidney dialysis, was taken to the hospital, but died of her injuries.
The driver of the medical van was not injured.
Police are still determining if charges will be filed against the other driver.
