Abandoned School Set For Demolition Catches Fire In Taylor

TAYLOR (WWJ) -- Crews battled a fire at an abandoned elementary school in Taylor on Friday afternoon.

Lance Howard saw the blaze from Chopper 950 and said that Pardee Rd. is closed between Northline and Eureka.

Smoke was billowing from the roof of the building. The school was slated to be demolished in the next couple of weeks.

There are no reports of injuries.
