AAA Michigan: Gas Prices Rise 1 Cent In Past Week To $2.30

DEARBORN (AP) — AAA Michigan reports statewide gas prices have increased by about 1 cent a gallon within the past week.

The auto club says the average price per gallon of self-serve regular unleaded gasoline was about $2.30 on Sunday. That's about $1.14 less than it was a year ago.

It marks the fourth consecutive week the statewide average has risen above $2 a gallon.

Dearborn-based AAA Michigan surveys daily fuel costs at 2,800 Michigan gas stations. It says the cheapest price was about $2.29 a gallon in the Detroit and Marquette areas, while the highest price was about $2.37 a gallon in the Traverse City area.
