AAA Michigan: Gas Prices Fall 12 Cents In Past Week To $2.33

DEARBORN, Mich. (AP) - AAA Michigan says gas prices statewide have decreased for the second consecutive week.

The Dearborn-based auto club says that the average price for self-serve regular unleaded gasoline was about $2.33 per gallon on Sunday. That's about 12 cents less per gallon than last week's average and down about 80 cents from the same point last year.

The lowest average price was about $2.24 per gallon in the Flint area, while the highest average was about $2.42 in the Marquette area.

AAA Michigan surveys daily fuel prices at 2,800 gas stations across the state.
