A New Hyatt Place Hotel Expected In Royal Oak

ROYAL OAK (WWJ) - A $48 million project is coming to the north end of downtown Royal Oak.

Mark Morante, is the senior vice president of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and says the site of a vacant car dealership will now be replaced.

"We are getting a very exciting mixed-use multi-building development called Trailhead who are working to have a hotel project ... a parking deck that can hold several hundred people and also mixed used retail, apartments and office space," said Morante.

The hotel? A Hyatt Place. Morante says they expect groundbreaking to begin soon.
