14 Dachshunds Removed From Roseville Home After Complaints Of Cruelty

ROSEVILLE (WWJ/AP) - Authorities say they've removed 14 dachshunds from a metro Detroit home following a complaint about possible animal cruelty.

Police said in a statement that a Roseville animal control officer and police officers went to the home, on Legion Street in Roseville, Thursday after a court order was issued.

Police said all of the dogs found in the house were alive, but didn't otherwise detail the animals' conditions.

The dogs were taken to Hopeful Heart Rescue for cleaning and examination, police said.

No charged have yet been filed as the case remains under examination.

The name of the dogs' owner was not released.
