DETROIT (AP) — The Detroit Red Wings annual state tour includes stops in four communities prior to the start of training camp in Traverse City.

The team says Justin Abdelkader, Jakub Kindl, Petr Mrazek and Tomas Tatar will visit the Coast Guard Wednesday and ride in a response boat on the Detroit River. The group also will visit patients at the Helen DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids.

Luke Glendening, Darren Helm, Brian Lashoff and Riley Sheahan are scheduled to visit cancer patients at Midland's MidMichigan Health Center. The players also will observe military vehicle demonstrations at Camp Grayling in Grayling.

All of the stops are closed to the public.
