70 Influential Women: No Surprise In Michigan, It's GM's Mary Barra

DETROIT - (CBS Detroit/ Business.org) - Business.org named 70 of the Most Inspirational Women Leaders in 2018 and there a few familiar names on here, including Ellen, Oprah, Sheryl Crow, Chelsea Clinton, Jessica Alba and Michigan's own Mary Barra.
Mary Teresa Barra was born in Waterford, Michigan. She the chairman and CEO of General Motors Company. She was named Forbes' 5th Most Powerful Woman in the World in 2017.

The list is impressive. It includes 70 women worldwide, including one born in each of the U.S. states, who are challenging the status quo and inspiring change. The team from Business.org said it spent weeks identifying some of the world's most accomplished women. The list also includes women from Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and South America.
